The Choice is Yours
You are the master of your destiny. Although it may be more convenient or comfortable to blame others for what occurs in your life, the fact is that you control your destiny. And, you do so by the multitude of choices that we all make each and every day. You can change your life by changing the choices you make!
Every waking moment, you are making choices. Today, you will choose what to eat. You will choose whether you get some exercise. You will choose what you put in your mind. You will choose the people with whom you will interact. You will choose whether you will be kind to others. You will choose whether to be happy. And, you will make hundreds of other decisions that directly impact the quality of your life.
Some of the choices you make will have immediate impact. Others will have an impact days, or even weeks, later. But, make no mistake about it: the multitude of choices you make today will have an enormous impact on the quality of your life.
Dr. Robert Schuller made famous the phrase "If it is going to be, it is up to me." Rather than suggesting some self-centered, ego based notion of life, Schuller was just capturing the essence of the message of choice. We control our destiny with the choices that we make.
