Choosing to Live a Life of Grace"At any moment in time, the gift of grace Long time readers of this newsletter know that I consider the short video on Tony Melendez to be one of the most powerful videos of all times.
Before a very large crowd in Los Angeles, at the conclusion of Tony's awesome performance, this Pope demonstrated spontaneous grace that has caused me to begin to understand the power and beauty of living with grace. If living in peace is the foundation of a great life, then living a life of grace is the fulcrum to having an extraordinary life. As a coach to some great CEO's, I get to observe on a first hand basis what makes them successful. All successful CEO's have a clarity of vision, of purpose, that guides them and their colleagues. And, all have a high energy level. But the single factor that separates the very best of the CEO's from others is the extent to which they consistently operate with grace. The CEO's that I enjoy working with most are those that live with grace. It is such a pleasure to be working with them!
Of course, you don't have to be a CEO to operate with grace. Each and every one of us can have a more rewarding life by consistently operating with grace. And a great starting point for understanding how to live a life of grace is Cheryl Richardson's outstanding book, The Unmistakable Touch of Grace. Cheryl's book describes how grace has transformed her life and that of many others. This is a "must read" book! Having become a student of people living with grace, I have developed my own prescription for grace based on the beliefs and behaviors I have observed in those living with grace. As with all my writings, I am working diligently to try to role model the concepts that I champion. But, I have quite a ways to go before I consistently live with grace. One of the important contributors to your grace is the extent to which you live a life filled with kindness. If you are in the habit of being kind, I do hope that you will sign our Kindness Journal thereby helping to accelerate the wave of kindness we hope to have circle the world.
Just imagine if every person did even one act of kindness every day. At Quantum Leap Strategies, we are trying to start a wave of kindness that circles the globe and leads to more peace in the world. Register your act of kindness in our Kindness Journal. Every month, we select one act of kindness to feature in this newsletter. This month's selection: Take the time to have a conversation with and really listen to a young person. Congratulations to Betty Hinton who wins a Kindness Wave T-shirt and Wayne Dyer's CD "101 Ways to Transform Your Life" for her thoughtful kindness. Of course, everyone who did an act of kindness is a winner. Thanks to all for helping start a wave of kindness from our site.
